According to a study conducted by a Boston Marketing Firm, the average American burns 55 minutes a day – roughly 12 weeks a year looking for things they know they own but can’t find.  Newsweek, 6-7-04

I would say most of the 55 minutes a day they are referring to is spent looking for items in a home office. More than the cost of your time, an unorganized office can cost you big bucks in late fees for misplaced bills, and even more it can cost you your health. An unorganized office will cause stress; stress in looking for items at the last minute, stress in not being as productive as you need to be at work, at home, and in your personal life. Don’t worry about the past, start today and get control of the paper-flow in your home office.
